The construction and the operation of the Transitgas transport system comply with all legal regulations regarding safety and the environment. Furthermore, Transitgas AG attaches great importance to a constructive cooperation with the competent authorities on federal, cantonal and community levels.

The pipeline transports considerable quantities of energy across Switzerland. Since it runs underground, it is not visible and does not harm the landscape nor the environment. Transitgas AG is well aware of the importance of soil conservation. The soil itself is a natural habitat, it serves as a filter and as a foundation and must therefore be conserved.

The upcoming implementation of a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) System, an integrated management system, will further strengthen our striving for health-conscious, safety-oriented and environmentally friendly actions.
